Grow Room Air Temperature

Monitors ambient air temperature inside the cultivation chamber. This is the primary sensor driving the heating and cooling relay control logic. High-precision, factory-calibrated.

Substrate / Bag Core Temperature

A probe inserted directly into the growing bag or substrate block. Tracks internal heat buildup from metabolic activity — critical during spawning run when mycelium generates significant heat.

Measures the temperature outside the grow room — in the corridor or mechanical room. Used for differential analysis, load calculations, and understanding environmental pressure on the climate system.

Non-dispersive infrared technology measures CO₂ levels in ppm continuously. Used to control fresh-air exchange and CO₂ injection for optimal mycelium respiration at each growth stage.

Measures relative humidity (%) inside the grow room. Drives the humidifier relay output to maintain the precise moisture levels required for each stage — from spawn run through fruiting flush.

Heating System

Activates the heating element or heat exchanger when room temperature drops below the configured setpoint. Configurable hysteresis (±°C) prevents short-cycling of the heating equipment.

CO₂ Injection / Fresh Air

Controls the CO₂ enrichment solenoid valve or fresh-air exchange fan. Opens when CO₂ falls below the stage setpoint (injection) or rises too high (exhaust), maintaining optimal respiration conditions.

Cooling System

Activates the cooling unit or air conditioning when temperature rises above setpoint. Independent hysteresis from the heater prevents simultaneous heating and cooling conflicts.

Humidification System

Controls the ultrasonic humidifier, misting nozzle, or fogger. Activates when relative humidity falls below the stage setpoint to maintain optimal moisture for mycelium growth and pinning.

Door Sensor — A magnetic contact sensor monitors the grow room door. Door open/close events are logged with timestamps and trigger alerts if the door is left open during critical growth stages.
