Multi-stage compressor control for server rooms, data closets, telecom equipment rooms, and multi-compressor cold rooms. Works with normal split AC, central AC, or indoor multi-compressor cold-room style systems — up to 3 compressors, run independently or simultaneously, with automatic rotation so every unit gets equal rest. Independently validated: 163 of 163 test assertions passed, zero failures.
Each compressor has its own setpoint and a shared hysteresis (deadband) value. As room temperature rises, compressors stage on one at a time; as it falls, they stage off — with automatic rotation making sure no single unit always carries the load.
| Live Air Temperature | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 20°C (below all setpoints) | All compressors OFF | Temperature is below every compressor's ON threshold |
| 23-25°C | 1 compressor ON | Crosses the lead compressor's setpoint + hysteresis threshold |
| 29°C | 2 compressors ON | Crosses the second compressor's threshold; first drops out again once temp falls to/below its own setpoint |
| 33-36°C | All 3 compressors ON | Full load — every compressor engaged simultaneously |
Example setpoints used in validation testing: Compressor 1 = 22°C, Compressor 2 = 26°C, Compressor 3 = 30°C, with a 2°C hysteresis — all fully configurable per installation. Whichever compressor has been resting longest is automatically promoted to lead on each rotation, so runtime is shared evenly across every connected unit instead of always hitting the same compressor first.
The SR-300 isn't tied to one type of cooling equipment — it's designed to control the compressor staging logic regardless of what's physically installed.
Server room cooling is too critical to leave monitoring to chance. All telemetry from the SR-300 is captured on our dedicated high-end logging server, running on redundant RAID 1 storage for data integrity, with real-time Grafana dashboards for live and historical trend visibility.
Before release, the control firmware was exercised through structured test cases covering every primary control function — not just staging under ideal conditions, but rotation, disabled-unit handling, exact-boundary hysteresis behaviour, and full de-staging as load drops.
